Rabbi Mordechai Becher

Rabbi Becher is a Senior Lecturer for Gateways and is originally from Australia. He lectured at Ohr Somayach College in Jerusalem for 15 years, served in the Israel Defense Forces and taught in training programs for rabbis and educators. Rabbi Becher received his rabbinic ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem. He has co-authored two books on contemporary issues in Jewish law and has responded to thousands of legal, ethical and philosophical questions on the “Ask the Rabbi.org” website. His latest book, “Gateway to Judaism”, published by Artscroll-Mesorah Press, is now in its fifth printing.

Rabbi Gavriel Friedman

Originally from New York, Rabbi Gavriel Friedman has spent the last 15 years studying and teaching in various Yeshivas throughout Jerusalem. He is currently teaching at Aish HaTorah Jerusalem, where his lectures highlight the entire gamut of Aish programs, as well as being a featured speaker for the JWRP (Jewish Women’s Renaissance Program). A sought after speaker of the Jewish speaking circuit, Rabbi Friedman has lectured in dozens of locations around the globe, including South Africa, Europe, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and across the United States. Rabbi Friedman’s charisma captivates audiences of all ages, and inspires men, women, and children across the Jewish spectrum. His unique ability to present Torah concepts in an intriguing yet entertaining fashion leaves his audiences thirsting for more. Rabbi Friedman currently resides in Yerushalayim with his wife and children.

Rabbi Daniel Glatstein

Rabbi Daniel Glatstein is a rising star in the world of Torah education, with a global following and more than 2,000 shiurim on Torahanytime.com.  Rabbi Glatstein received Smicha from Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim in Queens and has studied and trained with noted poskim.  Rabbi Glatstein serves as Rav of Kehilas Ahavas Yisroel in Cedarhurst, NY.  He is a sought-after speaker who delivers an array of shiurim each week.  Rabbi Glatstein is distinguished for his rare combination of dynamic oratory and an extraordinary breadth of Torah sophistication and insight.  His online shiurim have been received very enthusiastically and in the past year alone have garnered more than half a million hits and 100 thousand downloads.

Rabbi Yosef Kalatsky

For more than three decades, Rabbi Kalatsky has mentored hundreds of successful professional men and women who are industrialists, entrepreneurs, and leaders in their respective fields, to be deeply rooted, knowledgeable, and committed to authentic Jewish tradition. A graduate of Ner Israel Rabbinical College, Rabbi Yosef Kalatsky cherishes the close relationship he established with Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman zt”l, Rosh HaYeshiva of Ner Israel and one of the leading Torah sages of the previous generation. Rabbi Kalatsky was ordained by Rabbi Ruderman, and is qualified to preside over all areas of Jewish law.

Erudite in all areas of Torah, Rabbi Kalatsky is uniquely qualified to address a broad range of issues in Judaism – from definitive law and philosophy to Talmudic analysis. Rabbi Jonathan Rietti

Rabbi Rietti is a Senior Lecturer for Gateways and is a descendant of the Sephardic leader the Ben Ish Chai and son of the famous British actor Robert Rietti. He received Smichah from Gateshead Yeshiva, after which he helped establish the now flourishing Kollel in Gibraltar. With a master’s in education, he has practiced for 24 years as an educational consultant to parents of gifted children and those with ADD. He currently works in Brooklyn under Machon Daas Esvuna to train teachers using hands on chinuch methods steeped in Chazal based principles. Rabbi Rietti has authored over twenty nine lecture albums on topics including inner growth, health, parenting and Jewish identity.

Rabbi Yonason Shippel

Rabbi Shippel is a Senior Lecturer for Gateways. A native of South Africa, Rabbi Shippel is a graduate of Columbia University, NY and Ner Israel Rabbinical College, Baltimore. Rabbi Shippel holds a Masters degree in Judaic Studies. After receiving his Rabbinical Ordination in Jerusalem, he founded a vibrant congregation, learning center and day school in Cape Town, South Africa. Rabbi Shippel has spoken in communities and on campuses throughout the world, where he shares his unique life experiences and practical advice for successfully integrating Ancient Traditions with 21st Century living.

Rabbi Mordechai Suchard

Rabbi Suchard is the Founder and Director of Gateways and the son of a Rav and Dayan on the prestigious Johannesburg Beis Din. He studied in Telshe, Cleveland and Ponevizh, Israel. He received Smichah from the Chief Rabbi and Av Beth Din of Jerusalem, Rabbi Kulitz. For the past twenty years, he has devoted his time to building Gateways into a premier education powerhouse that engages collegiates, young adults, families, singles and Russian immigrants in the United States and abroad to nurture and sustain Jewish identity, strengthen their connection to Israel and make informed decisions about their Jewish future.

Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz

Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz is a South African born physician, author and lecturer. He studied medicine in Johannesburg with elective work at Washington University in St Louis, and spent a number of years concurrently practicing medicine and engaging in Talmudic study in Israel. He has written a number of books on the subjects of Jewish thought and philosophy: Anatomy of a Search, Living Inspired, Worldmask, The Thinking Jewish Teenager’s Guide to Life, Letters to a Buddhist Jew and Will, Freedom & Destiny. His Jerusalem Medical Ethics Forum teaches and promotes knowledge of Jewish medical ethics internationally. He has recently written a textbook in this field, Dangerous Disease and Dangerous Therapy in Jewish Medical Ethics. He currently teaches at the Jewish Learning Exchange in London and internationally.
